Shine A Light: UnSilenced Community Awareness Day
This day is designed to move our community from: “I’ve heard of trafficking.” → “I know what to do if I see it.”
WHAT IT’S ABOUT
To bring together survivors, community members, and frontline professionals from across Southwest Michigan to deepen awareness of human trafficking, challenge stigma, and learn what it really looks like when survivors first walk in and what happens after they speak up.
WHO SHOULD COME
Anyone on the frontlines with people in crisis: parents and caregivers; youth workers, teachers and school staff; nurses, medical, dental, and behavioral health teams; social workers, case managers, and Community Health Workers; law enforcement, first responders, and victim advocates; shelter, DV/SA, housing, and outreach workers; faith and tribal leaders; students; survivors, loved ones, and any neighbor who wants to understand, support, and help change the story in Southwest Michigan.
Car Giveaway Celebration – May 18th at Woodland Church
WHEN THE MISSION STAYS ABOUT PEOPLE, MIRACLES HAPPEN.
Join us as we witness what’s possible when compassion overrides red tape, and community steps in where systems fall short.
On Sunday, May 18th at 10:45 AM at Woodland Church, we will celebrate Christina—a survivor, single mom, and unstoppable woman—who will be surprised with the 99th vehicle gifted by Rings Ministry: a fully restored 2007 Toyota Camry, repaired with love by Woodland Church volunteers.
This moment is made possible through the partnership of Rings Ministry, UnSilenced Battle Creek, and our sister coalition in Kalamazoo. Together, we’re proving that healing knows no city limits—and neither does hope.
Come sit with us. Come stand with survivors. Let’s show Christina—and the world—what happens when we choose people over pride, and mission over ego.
💜 Because every voice deserves to be heard. Every life, restored.
Be Here Tomorrow Music Fest — A Day of Hope, Healing & Music
Mark your calendars for a day celebrating life, community, and connection. The Be Here Tomorrow Music Fest is back—and it's more powerful than ever.
Hosted by W.A.S.P. (Walking Along Suicide Prevention) and presented by the St. Joseph County Suicide Prevention Taskforce and St. Joseph County United Way, this free, family-friendly event invites you to show up, be present, and find hope in the music and the mission.
UnSilenced is honored to be one of the featured resource tables at this event, bringing awareness, hope, and tools for healing to those impacted by human trafficking. We believe in showing up for people where they are, and this event does just that.
